Peace, Love, and Alex & Ani

I am not usually one to follow a huge trend.  However, with the headquarters of the company (Alex and Ani) 30 minutes away from my college it seemed to be unavoidable.  It became a huge craze at school and everyone on campus was sharing the meaning of all their bracelets with friends.  Those of you who have never heard of the company they create eco-friendly jewelry and each piece that is made represents positive energy.  The most popular products they design are their single charmed bracelets-- each one represents something different, but as a whole, they identify who you are as a person.  They are to be worn on your less dominant hand and in an odd number.  Their products are meant to really show who an individual is and what they represent.  They are made of all recyclable materials and the creator encourages you to wear several at a time.  It seems as if they are bringing the cluttered wrist back into style--suggesting that you wear gold and silver together with splashes of color as well.  This is something that isn't usually recommended. Most people are hesitant to mix silver and gold, but that is the look they are going for.

I spent about an hour yesterday looking at all the different ones I could purchase. Being as indecisive as I am, the woman who worked there helped me out a great deal.  I couldn't seem to narrow it down to just three (I had to have some sort of control) because there are endless possibilities. Trying to calm my shopaholic self down was quite difficult, but I realized they are a great gift to give and to receive... beautiful and powerful at the same time!

BLOWOUT SALE @ Lord & Taylor !!

I've heard from multiple sources about how great the recent sales at Lord & Taylor have been so I decided to see for myself!  Designer clothing, shoes, accessories, bathing suits, handbags, etc are all from 50-80% off their original prices. The growth of department stores has greatly allowed lower and middle class individuals to purchase high-end merchandise without paying the ridiculous prices. I could not believe how inexpensive some of the items were that were produced by some of my favorite designers!!

Jessica Simpson's shoes are to die for! I can honestly say that she never disappoints me when I am looking for a funky, yet trendy heel to rock on the weekend.  Her shoes use a unique combination of color and print to create the most eye captivating foot on the block. A girl can never have enough heels, and she gives us the opportunity to have a wide variety of colors and patterns to choose from!

Colored and printed denim is HUGE this summer. I have to admit I have around 8 pairs of the tacky pants myself.  Along with colorful denim, high-waisted washed-out jean shorts are also in style.  I stumbled upon a great pair at L&T made by Free People!! On sale for $20... unheard of!

Last, but not least, ALL of the swimwear was on sale! One piece bathing suits, bikini's, and swim cover-ups! This one is made by Michael Kors, and the fabric is FABULOUS. I can't wait to take it on vacation with me when I go to Puerto Rico at the end of this month!!

Overall, I found great pieces today for great prices!!

"It's Couture Without the Cost"

A friend of mine mentioned this site to me the other day.  It is such a FABULOUS idea.  For years guys always had the easy way out for formal events; they simply get to rent a tux and return it the next day.  This site is the female version of that! Women can choose from hundreds of DESIGNER dresses, choose their size, pick the date they need it for, and wear something they couldn't normally afford.  These dresses can cost up to thousands of dollars but with access to this site you can rent them for a bargain price.  They permit you to order two different sizes to ensure you get the perfect fit (second one is without cost).  With this site at the tip of your fingertips, any woman can experience their very own fairy-tale ending!
